PATNA - Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for failing to control mounting inflation.
Addressing a rally here, Lalu said: “Since the Nitish Kumar’s government was formed in Bihar, there is mounting inflationary situation everywhere. We have protested against this situation and if not controlled in time, we would further protest against it. The Government which cannot control inflation is of no use.”
Meanwhile, Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan compared the present scenario to be like a bioscope.
“It is the bioscope of Nitish Kumar going on, where you see the radio, the transistor then turn the APL (Above Poverty Line) into BPL (Below Poverty Line) and BPL into APL,” said Paswan.
Accusing Kumar of dividing Dalits, Paswan said that the present regime had “badly cheated and hoodwinked” the community in Bihar.
The six-phase poll for 243 seats in Bihar begins from October 21 and concludes on November 20.
The RJD will contest from 168 seats, while its alliance partner, LJP will field its candidates in 68 seats.
Counting of votes will take place on November 24.
Bihar has over 5.5 crore voters, who will exercise their franchise through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). (ANI)
