Israel Consul General visits GCMMF, Amul Dairy

Anand (Gujarat), Oct. 8 (ANI-Business Wire India): Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, Orna Sagiv, visited Amul Dairy and the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. to understand the Amul model of cooperatives which is currently synonymous with the White Revolution in the country.

Sagiv met R. S. Sodhi, the Managing Director of GCMMF and Rahul Kumar, Managing Director of Amul Dairy during her visits.

The Amul model of cooperative development was explained in detail to her.

Sagiv said she was impressed by the large range of products developed and marketed by GCMMF.

The Consul General was also overwhelmed by the presence of Amul products in the international market.

She was also briefed on the role played by Amul founder Chairman Tribhuvandas Patel and Dr. V Kurien, the father of the White Revolution.

Sagiv expressed keen interest to explore the possibility of collaboration between Amul and Israel.

At the end of her visit she remarked “Very interesting and inspired! I am sure Amul will keep flourishing and growing!” (ANI)
