NEW YORK - A 19-year-old American, once arrested for threatening to kill US President Barack Obama, has been arrested again for allegedly threatening to detonate bombs at transportation hubs in New York.

Jonathan Avalos allegedly made four different calls to a Port Authority tip line between Sunday and Tuesday.

In one call, Avalos said that he would set off a grenade in Penn Station, the New York Daily News reports.

He also allegedly threatened to blow up Newark Penn Station and the 175th Street station of the A Train.

Avalos was arrested on Wednesday after officials at the Port Authority’s Criminal Investigations Bureau traced the calls to his cell phone.

The 19-year-old has been charged with four counts of aggravated harassment.

He will be arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Avalos was earlier arrested last year for making 911 calls threatening to kill Obama and New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly. That case is still pending. (ANI)
