Musharraf the ‘murderer’ of Benazir Bhutto: PPP Secy Gen

KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party’s Secretary-General Jehangir Badar has called former President Pervez Musharraf the ‘murderer’ of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
“Pervez Musharraf is the murderer of Benazir Bhutto,” the Dawn quoted Badar as saying.
Badar also claimed that although Benazir and Musharraf did have a dialogue twice, no deal was struck, and hence the former premier did not return to Pakistan as a result of some deal.
Earlier this week, Pakistan Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik had also dismissed the claim made by Musharraf a few days earlier, pointing out that had there been any sort of deal between the two, the former prime minister would not have faced cases on her return to the country.
Declaring that the Pakistan People’s Party had never joined hands with any dictator, PPP Senator Faisal Raza Abidi also said that Benazir’s mandatory stay abroad until the 2008 general elections could not be tagged as a ‘deal’ as claimed by 67-year-old Musharraf, since it was the result of a political dialogue between the two leaders.
