MELBOURNE - Two students have become the first same-sex pair to make it to the Guinness World Records for the longest continuous kiss ever-a 32 hour, 30 minute, 45 second smooch.
But, Matty Daley, 20, and Bobby Canciello, 19, said there was no romantic motivation for feat-it was simply a plan hatched while procrastinating about a term paper, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The College of New Jersey students beat a record set on Valentine’s Day 2009 by a German couple by 23 minutes.
More than 330,000 people from two dozen countries watched portions of the event, which was completed September 19, through a live web stream.
Canciello and Daley told The Star-Ledger they had petitioned Guinness to certify the record and were amazed at the impact their kiss had around the world. (ANI)
