FLORIDA (GaeaTimes.com)- Tropical Storm Matthew is gradually becoming stronger and it is now located at the Caribbeans. The National Hurricane center has hinted that it has the potential to turn into a powerful Hurricane in the coming days. According to the latest update, Matthew has gained a speed over 40 miles per hour and this may go up with time. The Northern Honduras coast may be hit by the storm early on Saturday as has been predicted by the weather office. A storm warning is now in effect in some parts of both Honduras and Nicaragua. This is the 13rd declared storm in the present hurricane season. It is likely to move to the west in the next two days.
The storm can lash the land when it moves west. Extensive rainfall can also take place when tropical storm Matthew hits the mainland but the amount will vary. Nevertheless tropical storm movements are affected by some factors and these storms change way or lose strength at times. Hence the exact path of Matthew cannot be indicated with certainty. It is highly possible that the storm will hit Florida thinks the weather experts. Of course, this will only happen if the storm does not get weak for some reason.
Tropical storm Matthew may also reach the Yucatan Peninsula. The path of the storm may also cross the major oil rigs located at the Gulf of Mexico. The storm may affect the Coffee harvest if it turns into a hurricane. The weather office is keeping tab on its movement since its formation a day back.
