Three Maoist commanders surrender in Jharkhand

RANCHI - Three commanders of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) surrendered in Ranchi city on Friday.
One area commander and two other zonal commanders of the outfit surrendered themselves before Director General of Police (DGP) Neyaz Ahmed, along with one automatic rifle, pistol and cartridges.
“We are doing the verification. Some more rebels wanted to come to surrender but because of the Ayodhya verdict, we called few. Some more rebels will also surrender,” Ahmed said.
A cash reward of Rs 50,000 was handed to each of them for their rehabilitation. (ANI)
