NEW YORK - The old-fashioned way-practicing-set things right for a 13-year-old from Brooklyn who won 50,000 dollars at the National Texting Championship.
Brianna Hendrickson of East New York won the LG-sponsored National Texting Championship.
Tornado-thumbed Hendrickson sends about 6,000 text messages a month.
She beat out eight finalists by pecking out a verse from “Old McDonald” in 60 seconds.
“She’s the Michael Jordan of texting,” the New York Daily News quoted a spectator Jerry Noel as saying.
“I never thought I would win!” she said, bursting into tears onstage.
“It’s a completely amazing feeling,” she added.
Brianna began texting in the fourth grade and is, obviously, on an unlimited cell phone plan. (ANI)
