LACHMANI - Maoists killed a trader and his son in a remote village in Orissa’s Koraput District on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Kapur Khora and his son Disho Khora of Lachmani village.
Over 20 armed Maoists stormed into Lachmani village, about 70 km from here, and dragged their victims out of their house before killing them.
The rebels used sharp edged weapons to murder both the father and his son.
Preliminary investigation reveals the victims had received warnings from the militants over a land dispute.
The Maoists first held, a ‘Praja Court’, a Kangaroo trial and then brutally hacked the hostages to death, said Jitu Khora, a villager.
The Maoists left behind a note taking full responsibility for the killings. (ANI)
