13 killed, 40 injured as trains collide in Madhya Pradesh

SHIVPURI - At least thirteen people were killed and over 40 others injured when the Indore-Gwalior Intercity Express collided with a freight train at the Bhadarwas railway station in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri District today.
The incident occurred when a speeding goods train rammed into a stationary Gwalior Intercity express in the wee hours today.
According to sources, around 40 to 50 passengers are still trapped inside the wreckage.
Early reports said it appeared to be a case of negligence as the two trains were on the same track.
Meanwhile, the Accident Relief Train has reached the Bhadarwas station and relief operations are underway.
