KUALA LUMPUR - Family members of missing Indian multi-millionaire A. Muthuraja believe he is still alive and is being kept in captivity by some unscrupulous people.

Muthuraja father E. Allal Kathan said his son was close to two Banting-based lawyer brothers who have been arrested for the murder of cosmetics queen Sosilawati Lawiya, but added that he saw no possibility of them hurting Muthuraja.

“My son and the brothers were very close friends, and they would not hurt him at any cost. I am a pious man and I have a gut feeling that my son is being held captive somewhere by some unscrupulous people,” The Star quoted Kathan who lives in Tamil Nadu, India, as saying.

Muthuraja’s younger brothers, Vijay and Dr Kasi Viswanathan, also said they strongly believed the lawyer brothers would not harm him.

On being asked about their opinion on the alleged involvement of Muthuraja involved in illegal activities with the lawyer brothers, Dr Kasi Viswanathan said: “We don’t believe it is true because as soon as the restaurant and student exchange businesses ended, there was no exchange of money between our brother and his lawyer friends.”

Muthuraja disappeared after coming to Malaysia to meet the two lawyer brothers. (ANI)
