WASHINGTON - A new survey has found that 78 percent of residents across 11 European Union countries approve of the way US President Barack Obama handles foreign policy.
According to the annual Transatlantic Trends report, that’s a five percentage point dip from last year, but it dwarves the 52 percent of Americans who feel the same way.
The report also found that 49 percent of Europeans like how Obama is handling both Afghanistan and Iran.owever, only about a quarter of Europeans feel optimistic that Afghanistan can be stabilized, a nine percent point drop from last year.
Over 13,000 people were interviewed in June for the study, which is in its ninth year, The Politico reports.
A random sample of 1,000 adults was taken in each country by TNS Opinion. The margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points. (ANI)
