Kumar Mahadevan, ex MasterChef Jimmy Seervai to host Sydney dinners

MELBOURNE - Well-known Indian chef Kumar Mahadevan and former Masterchef contestant Jimmy Seervai are set to host a series of dinner events in Sydney.

The ‘Kumar and Jimmy Nights’ will be held at chef Mahadevan’s celebrated Indian restaurant Aki’s in Wooloomoolloo on September 28 - 29, where fans will get to experience the Indian leg of the Masterchef event.

The two will bring together four courses of beautifully balanced Indian cuisine, and the dinners will showcase the contemporary Indian flavours that both have forged names for across Australia.

For Seervai, who was commended by the Masterchef judges for producing authentic Indian flavours throughout the competition, a post show synergy with chef Mahadevan was a wonderful opportunity.

“Chef Kumar’s restaurants Aki’s and Abhi’s are serving up good Indian food, and that’s why I’m glad I’m getting a chance to work with him,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying. (ANI)
