Agatha Christie’s Publishing Rights Secured by Harper Collins

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — Almost 85 years have passed since the great writer, Agatha Christie had started her relationship with the Collins Publishers. “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” was on of the first works from Agatha Christie published by Collins Publishers. Since then, the bond between these two entities have strengthened.
The sales of Agatha Christie’s works have doubled in the past 10 years. 34 years have passed by since the great fiction writer died. Today, HarperCollins (known as the Collins Publishers way back in 1925) has finally secured a deal to become her Global Publisher. A 7 figure agreement was signed yesterday, i.e. Agatha’s 120th birthday. The deal included the publishers to give the rights to publish Agatha Christie’s works in Print, Digital and Audio formats.
Agatha Christie’s novels were always mesmerizing. The novels and short stories of 80s have never stopped their sales. Even today, a million copies of Agatha Christie’s works are still sold every year.
