Pavitra Rishtas Shalini Arora displays her Unity in Diversity this festive season

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Shalini Arora feels her day long fast on Janmashtimi provided her with the strength and positivity towards life. The actress feels the entire month becomes auspicious and holy after that. Coming from the ‘City of Nawab’ Lucknow, Shalini is a true cosmopolitan by heart. Believing in Unity in Diversity concept she is all excited for Eid and Ganpati celebrations.
She recollects her childhood spent in Lucknow, “As a kid I used to wait for Eid as my neighbours would send a big bowl of Shirkhurma. I loved it and without sharing it with anyone in the house I relished the entire sweet. Even after moving to Mumbai I am lucky to live in a cosmopolitan society. Every year my building resident distributes the holy dessert which now I share with my only daughter. With Eid and Ganpati coming together this year the entire month becomes ‘Pavitra’”, says the Pavitra Rishta actress. “I am running from one Balaji set Pavitra Rishta to another Tere Liye. At the same time I am gearing up for Ganpati Sthapana at my place this weekend. I am nervous and excited at the same time hoping that all goes well as both my team is invited along with Ganpati devotees."
