Delhi’s Safdarjung medicos go on strike

NEW DELHI - Around 750 doctors of Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital went on an indefinite strike on Tuesday after one of their colleagues was allegedly heckled by relatives of a patient.
The doctors stopped work and demanded that the CISF take over the hospital’s security.
They said the hospital administration had failed to ensure the ecurity of doctors despite the issue being taken up several imes
“We are on strike since today and this will continue till our demands for better security are met,” said General Secretary of residents Doctors Association, Safdarjung Hospital, Dr Raj.
“This is the not the first time. Every second day patients’ relatives manhandle doctors and nothing has been done to ensure our security,” he added. (ANI)
