BOGOTA, COLUMBIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Columbian man Edward Nino Hernandez has made it to the Guinness World Records Book this year. The 24-year-old man who weighs 10kgs (22lbs) and is only 70 centimeter in height has been named as the shortest living man on Earth by the world renowned Guinness World Records. Edward Nino Hernandez has not grown since he was just a two year old toddler his mother mentioned to media sources.
The 70cm tall Edward Nino Hernandez has been able to break the record of Chinese He Pingping who was 74 cm tall. He Pingping died this March. However, Edward Nino Hernandez was discovered recently after the death of He Pingping. However, there are likely chances that the record of Edward Nino Hernandez will be broken soon by Nepal’s Khagendra Thapa Magar who is yet to turn 18. After Khagendra Thapa Magar turns eighteen this October the man will become the shortest man. He at present holds the title of the being the shortest teenager with the height being around 40cm.
However, at present Edward Nino Hernandez is enjoying every bit of being the shortest man on earth. Edward Nino Hernandez, who works part-time as a dancer has said to media sources that he feels happy because the he is unique. The 24-year-old man is not the only family member who is short. Edward Nino Hernandez’s youngest sibling 11-year-old Miguel Angel is reportedly 93cm (37in) tall. The mother of the world’s shortest man said to media sources that the National University studied him until he was three years old but eventually lost interest in the case. As for Edward Nino Hernandez, the only thing he does not like of being the shortest man is the unwanted attention. He mentions “It bothers me that people are always touching me and picking me up.”
