CLEVELAND (GaeaTimes.com)- The Cleveland National Air Show is an annual air show held on Labor Day weekend at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland National Air Show 2010 was a highly anticipated event in the Ohio area. However, this year the organizers of The Cleveland National Air Show had to cancel their event owing to heavy rain and bad weather.
The Cleveland National Air Show features various types of stunt airplanes, modern fighters and alternates between Blue Angels and Thunderbirds every year. In the face of extremely poor weather Cleveland National Air Show 2010 has been canceled for the first time since 1974. The organizers of the air show have asked the disappointed fans who were looking forward to military jets demonstrations, to wait for only a day or more as the show will kick off once the weather becomes fine. The reason behind the cancellation of the show was heavy shower which could be dangerous to jets and pilots as well.
The fans of Cleveland Air Show are anticipating that they will get to see the stunts of various planes that defy the laws of gravity once the weather becomes stable. Last Saturday the show continued for sometime but owing to heavy rain around noon all the planes were grounded. The main attractions of the event, like, the Army’s Golden Knights Parachute Jumping team could not show their stunts because of the high winds and rainy conditions. Cleveland National Air Show 2010 was expected to feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the MSMC Fat Albert (C-130 Hercules), the US Army Golden Knights, the F/A-18F Super Hornets and many more. The organizers have, however, said that they expect two full days of aerial and ground events once the weather condition improves.
