Summary Box: Stock market snaps a three-week slump
SEPTEMBER RALLY: The stock market had its first winning week in a month after better news on employment and manufacturing lifted shares.
A FOUR-DAY JUMP: A four-day rally this week brought the Dow up 438 points, but it’s still 6.8 percent below its April high.
GOOD JOBS: Employment numbers provided a pleasant surprise to the market Friday. Private employers added 67,000 jobs last month, more than analysts expected.
