The bride, Soundarya, was first dressed in a green silk sari and later changed into a traditional red nine-yards sari.
Many noted actors from south Indian and Bollywood films attended the wedding.
“I have to say this is our family marriage and I am very happy about it, and I am here because of my friend Rajinikanth,” said renowned actor Kamal Hasan.
“Being the big brother of our industry, Rajinikanth, the superstar, he has invited us. Being a part of our family, my whole family has come here. I wish Soundarya, Ashwin and Rajinikanth’s family all the best in the years to come,” said another actor Prabhu.
