Summary Box: Traders come back to the bond market
BACK IN FAVOR: Investors returned to the Treasury market Monday after a sharp selloff last Friday. Analysts said last week’s selling may have been overdone.
MORE ECONOMIC GLOOM: The latest economic indicator did little to improve improve the outlook on the economy, giving traders another reason to buy bonds. Personal incomes grew last month but not as much as expected.
HEAVY DATA WEEK: There are plenty of economic reports coming out this week for bond traders to respond to, especially the jobs report Friday. Reports are also due out on consumer confidence, manufacturing activity and construction spending.
