Alicia DeBolt Missing Since Weekend

GREAT BEND (GaeaTimes.com)- Alicia DeBolt, a 14 year old girl of Great Bend, Kansas was last time seen on Saturday night when she had left for a party. Her family says that she was supposed to be picked up by a friend that night. Her sister in law Holly DeBolt said that she failed to meet her friend and did not return home that night. Great Bend Police Detective David Bailey said that her family had filed a missing report on Sunday morning.
Alicia DeBolt’s mother Tammy Debolt said that it happened for the first time as she always informed her mother if there was any possibility to return home late. The family reported that Alicia DeBolt was wearing blue jeans shorts, a gray sweatshirt and white tennis shoes. She had a pony tail with a pink ribbon tied on it. The missing case of Alicia DeBolt took a turn when police found a dead body few miles outside of Great Bend yesterday. The Kansas Attorney General’s office says that the body is not identifiable. The body is already sent for an autopsy at the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center in Wichita.
Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings said that he cannot put out any information this early in the investigation. However, the police chief also added that the law enforcement officials are now focusing in a different direction than searching for Alicia DeBolt. Tina Almos, a victim advocate with the Kansas Attorney General’s Office and also the spokesperson of Alicia DeBolt’s family said that the law enforcement officials has asked the missing girl’s family members not to comment on the case now. She also added that the family members of Alicia DeBolt are “distraught” right at this moment.
