MIAMI (GaeaTimes.com)- Hurricane Danielle is gaining strength far over the Atlantic and on Tuesday it was categorized as a Category 2 hurricane by the National Hurricane Center. The United National Hurricane Center said in a bulletin that the Maximum sustained winds of Hurricane Danielle has increased to a near 100 miles per hours and is expected to gain momentum further as the week proceeds. The NHC fears that it would become a major hurricane by early Wednesday. Hurricane Danielle is reportedly located about 1,110 miles (1,790 kilometers) east of the Lesser Antilles. It is at present moving west with a speed of nearly 20 miles per hour.

However, the hurricane remains “far out at sea” and poses no potential threat to the coastal areas reportedly. As of yet, no coastal watches or warnings have been issued. It is expected to move towards the direction of west-northwest on Wednesday and NHC mentioned that chances are there that it might threaten Bermuda by the following weekend. The National Hurricane Center maintained that Hurricane Danielle might enter into Category 3 hurricane by Wednesday and then it might become a potential threat to the island chain. The meteorological models point out that the cyclone might give a miss to the U.S. coast but there are chances that the north of Canadian coast would suffer the burn up to some extent.

However, apart from Hurricane Danielle there are some other windy activities that are keeping the meteorologists busy. Following Hurricane Danielle is well-organized tropical depression that is gaining shape in the south of the Cape Verde islands which according to the NHC has 70 percent chances of transforming into a tropical cyclone.
