Pakistani spy arrested in Jalandhar, in 14 days police custody

JALANDHAR - A Pakistani national, who has been accused of spying, was arrested in Jalandhar on Sunday.
Mohammad Alam, a resident of Okara district in Pakistan’s Punjab province was staying in India under the name Thakur Amardas.
Jalandhar Police said that sensitive documents were recovered from Alam, but refused to divulge details.
“He is a resident of Pakistan and was staying here on the basis of a driving license and passport seized from him. He was active in this work since a long time and we are investigating about who all have helped him make these documents. He is being interrogated about the other angles as well,” said Rajpal Singh Sandhu, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Jalandhar.
A local court has sent Alam to 14 days custody. (ANI)
