Kashmir valley largely peaceful, eight injured in stray incidents

SRINAGAR - Barring stray incidents of stone pelting in Chatabal , Srinagar and Alialpora, Shopian areas in which eight persons received minor injuries, the overall situation remained peaceful across the valley on Sunday. olice today resorted to baton charging here and use of tear gas after a group of miscreants started pelting stones.

The incident occurred after a police team removed an objectionable flag at a place and some miscreants started heavy stone pelting on them.

Eight people suffered pallet injuries and shifted to Hospital. The condition of all was reported to be out of danger.

In Shopian, at Alialpora near a fire-station, a mob that was pelting stones was chased away by police.

No one was reported to have suffered injuries in the action here. (ANI)
