Curfew continues in parts of Srinagar

SRINAGAR - The authorities imposed a curfew on Wednesday in many parts of the Valley to foil a march call given by the separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Protesters raised anti-government and slogans for Azadi and demanded action against the security forces responsible for the death of civilians.

Meanwhile, shops and business establishments remained closed and the streets were deserted as curfew continued to affect normal life in several parts of valley region.

Security forces were seen patrolling the streets in and around Srinagar. By Parvez Butt (ANI)
