NEW YORK - Levi Johnston, who has plans to run for mayor of Alaska, has found an ardent supporter in the form of Jimmy Kimmel.
During an appearance of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Kimmel voiced support for Johnston’s career turn toward politics and his plan to run for mayor of Wasilla, Ala, reports the New York Daily News.
This post was once held by his almost-mother-in-law Sarah Palin.
“I would love to see you become the mayor,” Kimmel told the former Playboy model. “I really would.”
Later in the program, Kimmel pitched Johnston several items emblazoned with potential campaign slogans for his political run in 2012.
“I think I’m going to be the best mayor I can be.
“I’ve got a lot of work to do,” Johnston said.
Kimmel seemed eager to be on Johnston side.
“So what do you think? Can I be part of the team?” Kimmel asked.
“I think I might make you campaign manager,” Johnston answered.
Johnston’s run for the office will be featured in a new reality show titled “Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office.” (ANI)
