SYDNEY - Tiger Airways based in Singapore has revealed that it is considering introducing ‘vertical seating’ like the one by Ryanair has proposed.

Crawford Rix, who is the new managing director of Tiger Airways, believes that his passengers are happy as long as they are saving money.

Rix, who has been in the top job at the budget airline for two months, told the Australia Pacific Aviation Outlook Summit in Sydney he would consider all options to keep fares low.

“If that means vertical seating [a euphemism for standing up] and our customers like the idea and it leads to lower fares, we’ll consider it,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying. (ANI)
