CHENNAI - A cinema theater in Chennai has transformed its interiors into a Spanish royal opera house in order to attract movie lovers.
The cinema-owner, Abirami Ramanathan, redid the interiors of the cinema as a replica of the Spanish opera house.
The interior of the cinema has duplicated the colours, dicor, architectural styles and lighting of the original opera house.
“The whole ideas is to create an ambience of a palace for a opera house, opera house is something like a place of a foreign country, where everybody cannot normally go there. We made a Chinese palace, we need an Egyptian palace and then we brought a Spanish opera house, why? These are the places which are very colourful, very attractive palaces,” said Ramanathan.
Visitors have appreciated the refurbished cinema.
“It’s completely Italian and it’s really nice and authentic to watch it out, and it is really authentic to see people coming from outside, must be impressed watching the impressing view out there,” said Thara.
The cinema theatre has a seating capacity of 834 seats. By A.O.Arun Kannan (ANI)
