Summary Box: Wheat, corn, meats on the rise
WHEAT RALLY RESUMES: Wheat prices resumed their upward march after the United Nations’ food agency cut its forecast for production of the grain this year, citing bad weather in Russia and other countries.
MEATS RISE: The wheat rally is also pulling up the price of corn, which in turn is propelling pork and beef futures.
JAVA JOLT: Coffee prices are hovering near a 12-year high. J.M. Smucker, which sells coffee brands such as Folger’s, said Tuesday it was raising prices 9 percent in the U.S.
