The RPF reported that a group of people threw stones at the Dadar-Chennai Superfast Express when it stopped at a signal to let a Latur-Mumbai train pass. The dacoits were about to force their way in the train but a RPF force got alert and they reached the spot soon. However, the robbers were so intent on looting the train that they carried on throwing stones even after the security tea, arrived at the spot. When the RPF team fired in the air the robbers fled the spot. A member of the RPF team sustained minor injuries. Indian railway is also facing attacks on trains in the Maoist infested regions.
