WASHINGTON - Pakistani Ambassador to the US, Hussain Haqqani, has reiterated that his country’s anti-terrorism determination should not be doubted over the leak of Afghan war documents.

Haqqani said that Pakistan’s current unified efforts should be taken into account, which has been marked by Islamabad’s “countless sacrifices and unprecedented level of cooperation with the US and Afghanistan”.

He said that Islamabad would be deeply worried, if the US somehow suddenly pulled out from Afghanistan, in a replay of the situation that happened in the late 1980s when the US left the region immediately after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, The Daily Times reports.

The envoy further said that as emphasised by U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen, the US and Pakistan have made substantive improvement in enhancing bilateral ties. (ANI)
