Terrorists coming to Pakistan from Afghanistan: Malik

NOWSHERA - Pakistan’s Minister for Interior Rehman Malik said that the Afghan Government should take proper measures to block entry of militants and supply of weapons as terrorists were coming to the country from Afghanistan.

Talking to journalists in Pabbi after offering Fateha for the departed soul of the son of Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain, he said that militants were getting weapons from across the border and government had protested to the Afghan government in that regard.

Condemning the killing of Mian Rashid, the Interior Minister said that investigations were in progress and law enforcement agencies would arrest the real culprits.

He said that action against banned outfits was under way in the country and government would also seek help from Interpol, The Dawn reports.

He claimed that militants’ command and control had been destroyed, and added that the militants had been eliminated from Malakand, Bajaur and Mohmand and government writ would be established in other parts of the tribal areas also.

Commenting on the situation in Karachi, Malik said that no case of target killing had been occurred in Karachi since Sunday and situation would be improved very soon. (ANI)
