Taliban captures two American soldiers in Afghanistan

New York, July 25 (ANI): Taliban militants have captured two American soldiers while they were reportedly driving a civilian vehicle in the dangerous region of Logar Province in Kabul on Friday.
“The two service members departed their compound in Kabul City in a vehicle on Friday afternoon and did not return,” a NATO statement said.
According to the New York Post, American military has started a wide manhunt including the use of search helicopters and radio broadcasts has been launched. NATO has announced 20,000 dollars reward for information about the duo.
Din Mohammed Darwish, a spokesman for the Logar Governor said local officials in Logar had begun receiving unconfirmed information from Saturday afternoon that one of the two Americans might have been killed.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for in incident.
“We don’t know what their demands are,” Darwish said.
News of the capture came on the same day as five other American soldiers were killed in southern Afghanistan in two separate bomb attacks. (ANI)
