Jharkhand police recover explosives from a Maoist bunker

RANCHI - The Jharkhand police seized a large cache of explosives and literature from a suspected Maoist bunker during a combing operation in a desolate stretch of forested land in the Bundu area near Ranchi.
The police said the seized cache comprises 500 booster explosive gels, several hundred copies of Maoist literature and nearly 50 kilograms of gelatine
“50 kilograms of booster explosive gel, belonging to Maoists, have been seized from 300 boxes in the haul. Besides that, we have also recovered a massive amount of Maoist literature too,” said Pravin Kumar Singh, Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police.
“The Maoists could have perpetrated a spate of deadly strikes in the near future with these explosives,” he added expressing shock at the number and lethal nature of the seized cache. (ANI)
