Kashmiri youths stage protest in Srinagar

SRINAGAR - A number of Kashmiri youths staged a protest in Natipora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar city on Wednesday to protest recent deaths in the valley.
The protestors burnt wooden logs and tyres in the area, thereby causing extensive damage to the property of the city.
Protestors resorted to stone pelting at the police personnel, who attempted to bring the situation under control.
The police later beefed up the security in most parts of the old city including Safakadal, Khankah, Nowhatta, Saidakadal, Rainawari Fateh Kadal, Saraf Kadal, Bohri Kadal, Nawab Bazar, Lal Bazar, Maharajgunj and Gojwara areas.
At least 15 people have been killed in the clashes between protesters and security forces since June 11. The protestors were agitated over it. (ANI)
