WASHINGTON - Russian Spy Anna Chapman’s lawyer has revealed that she was disappointed when her UK citizenship was revoked.
“She’s particularly upset” at the rejection by the United Kingdom, Fox News quoted Baum as saying.
“It was disappointing to learn she can’t go back,” he added.
Baum said he was in constant touch with Chapman over e-mail as he tries to return her belongings following her deportation nearly two weeks ago.
He added that he visited her nearly every day while she sat alone in a prison cell for 10 days after her June 27 arrest.
Baum said he is sure Chapman misses her life in the US.
“She wished that she hadn’t been forced to leave,” he said.
“I know she wanted to stay here. She had a lot of friends.” (ANI)
