A look at Coca-Cola’s performance by region

Coca-Cola Co. reported second-quarter results Wednesday. Here’s a look at results by region:

EURASIA AND AFRICA: Volume up 10 percent, net revenue up 14 percent. India led growth with 22 percent volume increase, and volume in Turkey also posted strong gains. Coca-Cola brand volume grew 10 percent.

EUROPE: Volume down 1 percent, revenue up 2 percent. France posted strong growth, and Spain, Portugal and Germany also increasing. Coca-Cola brand volume was flat, but Coca-Cola Zero’s volume grew 6 percent. South and Eastern Europe, and the Adriatic and Balkans were weaker.

LATIN AMERICA: Volume up 7 percent, revenue up 12 percent. Brazil led growth with a 13 percent volume increase, followed by Mexico at 5 percent.

NORTH AMERICA: Volume up 2 percent, revenue up 3 percent. Year-to-date volume was even, ahead of a 1 percent decline the prior year. Soft drinks growth was even, while juices and teas were up 7 percent.

PACIFIC: Volume up 6 percent, revenue down 1 percent. Growth by the Philippines, China and Southeast and West Asia. China’s volume grew 6 percent, with a 21 percent volume gain for juices as Minute Maid Pulpy — and new Pulpy Super Milky — posted strong momentum.
