PANAJI - Andhra Pradesh’s anti-Maoist force, Greyhounds will train 45 Goa policemen to tackle internal security scenarios and carry out anti-terror operations, police said Saturday.

Deputy inspector general R.S. Yadav said the Goa policemen would receive their training at Himatsagar, an Andhra Pradesh-based Greyhound training academy.

“Goa is not really affected by Maoism. But the training by Greyhounds will help us to use the force for internal security purposes and to carry out anti-terror operations,” Yadav said.

“Greyhounds are the best in this job. We are preparing our force for anti-terrorism operations,” Yadav added.
