Oil price settles just above $76 a barrel
Oil prices retreated on disappointing economic news. Here’s how energy prices traded.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Crude fell 61 cents to settle at $76.01 per barrel.
Gasoline lost 1.21 cents to settle at $2.0486 a gallon.
Heating oil fell 0.7 cent to settle at $2.0113 a gallon.
Natural gas lost 6.7 cents to settle at $4.519 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE futures exchange:
Brent crude dropped 16 cents to settle at $75.37 per barrel.
