‘Big Brother’ saboteur revealed, then evicted
LOS ANGELES — It wasn’t a happy hour for Annie Whittington on “Big Brother.”
The 27-year-old bartender from Tampa, Fla., was revealed to viewers Thursday as the 12th season’s saboteur and was then unanimously evicted from the voyeuristic CBS reality competition.
The contestants, who were unaware she was the mole, chose to keep cocktail waitress Rachel Reilly, 26, from Las Vegas in the camera-laden house instead of Whittington.
“I think I played a little too hard and put a target on my back,” Whittington said.
“Big Brother” producers originally planted Whittington among the houseguests to disrupt the players’ lives. She was not eligible to win the $500,000 grand prize, but would have earned $50,000 if she had survived until the halfway point in the competition.
Sealing the storage room with a lock and hiding an annoying beeping device in the house were among her pranks.
“I have been having a blast all week messing with these houseguests,” she said.
