Vizag electrician enters name in Limca Book of Recods

HYDERABAD - An electrician from Andhra Pradesh’s Vishakhapattnam, Dowrupalli Satya Buddu, has made it to the Millennium Edition of the ‘Limca Book of Records’, for his collection of coins on “Wildlife”. noted numismatic and philatelist, Buddu has entered the Limca Book of Records, four times in a row.

Buddu started his collection forty years ago with a 10-paisa coin, and now his collection has gone up to 600 coins from 150 countries.

Besides wild animals, Buddu also has a large collection of stamps and coins on famous personalities.

“Mainly, my thematic collection is of famous personalities, animals and birds. Also, I have collected currency and plastic currency of 22 countries,” said Buddu.

Buddu’s collection is worth Rs 2 million in the national market and Rs 5 million in the international market. (ANI)
