NEW YORK - A Pakistani-American airline engineer from Brooklyn is suing his company for allegedly letting co-workers call him a “bomb maker” and a “Paki”.

Jamil Akhtar said that he had complained to his bosses at North American Airlines that other employees ridiculed him with derogatory names, insulted his religion and threatened him.

His suit, filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court, charges that when he complained to his superiors, he was threatened with the loss of his FAA license, The New York Post reports.

The 51-year-old, who quit the airline in 2007, is suing for back pay and other damages. (ANI)
