Pak envoy expects good results from foreign ministers meeting

WAGAH - Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik, on Monday, said that he was hopeful about a good result emerging from this week’s meeting between the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan.
Speaking to media before crossing the Wagah border into Lahore, Malik said: ” A few days back, I had meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Foreign Secretary Nirumpa Rao. I am expecting a lot from the forthcomming meeting between the foreign ministers of both countries.”
Though no agenda has been revealed, it is being assumed that every effort will be made to bridge the deficit gap that presently exists between the two countries.
“Let resume even the sports between the two countire as it was earlier,” Malik said.
Krishna will leave for Islamabad on July 14 and will be in the Pakistan capital till July 16.
Sources said the outcome could determine Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s probable visit to Pakistan. By Ravinder Singh Robin(ANI)
