Krishna to visit Islamabad for talks with Pak counterpart

NEW DELHI - External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna will undertake a three-day visit to Pakistan from July 14 to 16.

A statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs said Krishna would meet with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

The statement further said that the meeting was taking place in “pursuance of the mandate given by the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan, during their meeting at Thimphu in April, 2010, to the Foreign Ministers and Foreign Secretaries of both the countries to work out the modalities of restoring trust and confidence in the relationship.” (ANI)
