Summary Box: Wheat falls on robust forecast
WAVERING GRAIN: Wheat prices retreated Friday after the government predicted production will be better than it had expected just a month ago.
RISING METALS: Gold and metals settled higher, mirroring a pattern in the equities markets. Gold settled above $1,200 an ounce for the first time in three days.
OIL BUMP: Oil prices rose for the third straight day on Friday, helped by improving stock prices and lower crude supplies.
