TANGERANG, INDONESIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Indonesian State Aviation School (STPI) launched an interrogation session today where four senior students of the institution were questioned on their act of ragging six of their juniors. It has been alleged that four students of the senior section from the institution were involved in an act of bullying six of their juniors. Though the incident took place almost three months back, it came out into the open because of a recently released video which features all ten students and which has also been aired on a local channel in Indonesia.
The authorities of the STPI say that they have launched an investigation into the incident and that the team will very soon release the results of the investigation. However the Indonesian State Aviation School also stresses on the fact that it may be a little difficult to determine whether the bullying caused any physical injury to the six students, three months have already passed since the incident took place and the scenario has changed a lot since then.
Darwis Amini, the principal of the Indonesian State Aviation School is reportedly heading the team that will search for facts in the bullying case. The video which features students involved in a bullying act was telecast by a private television channel in Indonesia. Ari Susanto, the head of the academic and administrative departments of the STPI has confirmed that the students who feature on the video are indeed students of STPI. Though the investigation is still in process and the committee in charge is yet to come up with a result, Ari Susanto says that keeping in mind Article 19 of the STPI rules, the students in the video may even be expelled from the institution.
