Cidco Offers Affordable Flats

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The people who are on the lookout for a new flat located in the Navi Mumbai region have reason to rejoice. The City and Industrial Development Corporation unveiled a new housing scheme on Wednesday. It is offering 1344 flats. The entity has named the new housing project Unnati Gruhanirman Yojana. It is adjacent to Belapur. On Wednesday itself Cidco started issuing forms for this project. There are two variants of flats under this project. 800 flats that will be offered under the scheme consist of 324.21 sq ft area and they are meant for small families or individuals. There will be 538 flats comprising of 452.52 sq ft which are meant for midsized flats.
The price of these Cidco flats stat from INR 1,950 per sq ft and go up to INR 2,400 per sq ft. The total cost of the flats will range between INR 6.32 lakh and INR 10.86 lakh. For booking a flat under the scheme a buyer will have to pay INR 15000 to INR 25000. The PR officer of the City and Industrial Development Corporation Mohan Ninawe said in his statement that the scheme is aimed at those people who cannot afford high priced residential complexes in and around Mumbai.
Mohan Ninawe the PR officer of Cidco refuted the allegation that the price is similar to the flats offered by private builders in the region. As with many housing schemes the flats will be given to the applicants through a lottery. The selected buyers will get the possession of the flats by the next year.
