KATHMANDU - An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off in front of the Constituent Assembly (CA) building at the International Conference Center (ICC) here on Tuesday.
According to Nepalnews, the explosion took place at a time when the three-party meeting was underway in the Constituent Assembly hall.
However, there was no injury to any person or damage to public property was reported.
Meanwhile, police recovered a pamphlet of the Dynamic Youth Forum from the incident site.
In the pamphlet, the outfit owned up the responsibility for the bombing and said it carried out the explosion to press the government to fulfill its demands including formation of a national consensus government at the earliest, ‘establishment of peace’ and guarantee of a new constitution on time, among others.
However, a large number of security personnel have been deployed in the area and the site has been cordoned off. (ANI)
