NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Poincare Conjecture which has been the bafflement for mathematicians all over the globe is said to have been fixed by Russian mathematician Grigory Perelman. Reportedly, the man had claimed to be the first one to have solved the Poincare Conjecture problem way back in the year of 2003. The mathematician posted a series of solutions for Poincare Conjecture problem on the Internet to which nobody paid any attention.
However, it was three years later when the mathematicians collected the pieces and put them together as which made them recall the solver. By that time, the Poincare Conjecture solver Grigory Perelman had moved with his mother in his native place. Following that the Poincare Conjecture solver kept himself away from public life only to announce on Thursday how he was offered a $1 million as a prize which he refused to accept. James Carlson who happens to be the president of Clay Mathematics Institute in Cambridge told the media that he had personally spoken over the phone to the professor asking him to accept the prize. However, the Poincare Conjecture solver replied that he considers the entire mathematician community to be “unjust” and hence he shall not accept the prize. Poincare Conjecture is said to be one of the most difficult and challenging problems of the world which is named after the French polymath Henri Poincare.
Dr. Grigory Perelman has been always absent when it comes to recognition. As a matter of fact, he was awarded a Fields Medal after solving Poincare Conjecture but he never showed up at the International Congress of Mathematicians held in Madrid. Dr. Grigory Perelman also refused to attend a three day symposium that was held in Paris to celebrate the proof of Poincare Conjecture.
